From April 1, 2020, foodgrains will be distributed free of cost to 60 lakh ration card-holding families in the state.

There is a 21-day lockdown nationwide due to Corona. Following the lockdown, ration distribution has been started in the state to the people. Distribution of cereal kits has been started for free to 66 lakh ration card holder families in the state.

From 1st April 2020, food items distribute to the rashan card holders for free of cost. Gujarat government provide wheat, rice, pulses and sugar for free of cost to the poor families holding rashan card through rashan card shops. This scheme is for poor people who depend on daily wages for livelihood.

The families who do not have ration cards will also get food grains under the Ann Brahm scheme from April 4.
Grain mill flour mills located in urban and rural areas will continue
